People point at things. Sometimes people point at things because they’re frustrated (“This lawnmower is driving me crazy!”) or because they plan to buy something (“I’ll take it.”), or because they’re so so amazed by something, or someone, that they feel the need to extend an index finger in the direction of whatever or whomever it is that they find so extraordinary, or bizarre, or thrilling, or scary, and point it out to others.

It’s simply undeniable. People point at things. Here, a history of photos of people doing just that.
